On the 15th of November '2000 the Delta Ventures were united as great interest had grown developing from scouts to this new level of responsibilities and communication. Many soon to be Ventures were hooked on the outdoor experiences as Scouts had opened their eyes and shown them the highlights and advantages of becoming a scout. There had been a Delta Venture Unit 10 years previous but folded due to lack of interest and we're positive the 'new' Delta Unit wont go the same way as we have the support of many enthusiastic members.

From the start of our unit we have been active as much as possible and gaining new members all the time. Our unit consists of hard working and fun-loving personal who have contributed immensely since the beginning to gain the status, respect and encouragement of the local villages.

We are part of the Waddington Scouting Family and we are in close contact with all the groups from beavers to scouts. As a whole Waddington has a great reputation for eager Leaders willing to contribute to give characteristics to Scouters and to gain the joy of working in coordination with the 'New Generation' and using their patients to the max!

Our unit as since been as active as we can possibly be as most of our Ventures have just completed their G.C.S.E's , thankfully with modern intervention we have been able to keep organised and motivated. We have also been attending many of the District meetings to keep informed of issues relating to the future of Ventures and District events both participated by ourselves and sometimes ran by ourselves with the help of other venture Units and Scouts.

We are expanding all the time and gaining new members and hope to have a unit of 15-20 members within the next few months.
